If you already have a PCO licence, there’s no need to spend weeks searching for work — school run jobs in London often need drivers right away. These roles give you predictable hours, regular income, and a chance to make a difference.

## Why School Run Jobs Are a Good Fit for PCO Drivers

- **Regular Hours**: Fixed morning and afternoon slots mean you know your schedule every week.
- **Weekly Pay**: Many operators, like Sherwood T Group, pay weekly straight into your account.
- **Community Impact**: You’re helping children — often with special educational needs — get to and from school safely.

## How to Find Immediate Roles

1. **Apply Direct to Operators** – Search for local school transport companies in your borough. Many, including Sherwood T Group, hire year-round.
2. **Check Council Contracts** – London boroughs often post school transport tenders; some operators will advertise when they win new routes.
3. **Join Local Driver Groups** – Facebook and WhatsApp groups for PCO drivers are great for spotting urgent vacancies.

## What You’ll Need to Start Quickly

- A valid **PCO licence** from TfL.
- An **Enhanced DBS check** (your employer can arrange this if you don’t have one).
- A suitable vehicle (some companies can provide one).

If you’re based in Sutton, Croydon, Merton, Lambeth, or nearby areas, you could be working within days of applying.
